In a warning issued by Apple for it’s iPhone users, Apple has asked iPhone users not to sleep next to the phone while on charge, it could potentially risk fire, electric shock and damage to the phone itself. A lot of smartphone users due to lack of time keep their phones for charging overnight. This not only hampers the battery health but also has potential risk of electric accidents.
Apple iPhone advice
Here’s the complete statement from Apple “Do not sleep on a device, power adapter, or wireless charger, and avoid placing them under a blanket, pillow, or your body while connected to a power source.” It is recommended that iPhones, power adapters, and wireless chargers should always be used or charged in well-ventilated spaces. Apple further highlights the potential danger of using third-party chargers, especially cheaper alternatives that may lack the safety standards upheld by Apple’s official products. To address this concern, Apple advises users to opt for “Made for iPhone” cables that adhere to international safety regulations.
To our readers, we humbly appeal not to keep their phones on overnight charging and to use compatible, safety complaint chargers and cables.
